Fall may bring cooler weather for sweatshirts and pumpkin spice lattes, but the fun in Southwest Michigan continues!  Keep reading for some fun things to do in September in South Haven and Saugatuck/Douglas.

 

South Haven

South Haven Farm Market Sept. 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th 

For fresh produce, meats, cheeses, herbs from local vendors, make sure to stop by the market at the Huron St. Pavilion on Saturdays from 8am-2pm. The market also has a variety of other goods like flowers, plants, and more.

Flea Market Sept. 7th-10th

With over 200 lots, there is something for everyone at the flea market at the Michigan Flywheelers Museum! The outdoor market will also include parades, music, auctions, demonstrations, antique engines and tractors, and more! Admission is $10 and children under 12 are free. The flea market kicks off at 8am on September 7th. 

Paw Paw Wine and Harvest Festival Sept. 8th-10th

Packed with events for families and friends of all ages, the festival is one you won’t want to miss! The fun kicks off at 9am Friday, September 8th and runs through the weekend. There will be wine tastings, kayak races, a 5k grape stomping competition, a parade, fireworks, live music, and more!

 

Saugatuck/Douglas

Crane’s CiderFest Celebration Sept. 9th

Start fall off with Crane’s CiderFest from 12pm-5pm. Take in the fall vibes with fresh cider and the apple harvest. Don’t forget about the Quad Township Pie Eating Contest! There is something for everyone at the celebration. Tickets are $15 per person.

Art in the Park Sept. 16th

Local and regional artists will showcase their work at Wick’s Park. Artwork and fine crafts will be available to purchase. Take in and purchase the art while listening to live Americana style music. The event takes place from 10am-4pm.

Fall Makers Market Sept. 23rd

Head to Guardian Brewing Company and do some shopping while enjoying a beer. Shop for great treasures, gifts, and more while supporting local artists. The market runs from 12pm-6pm.
