We enjoyed our stay! There were a couple things that we had not noticed in the listing that caught us by surprise - there is no kitchen, and the bathroom is very tiny. That was a minor hiccup- not a big deal. The location is great, and the cottage is clean and comfortable.

Exactly the solo escape I needed in an absolutely adorable cottage close to the beach! Enjoyed a slow morning reading in the comfiest bed with the loveliest light streaming in through the windows, filtered by the leaves and flowers of the landscaping, which made the whole place feel so private, despite surrounding homes. Definitely could have walked to the beach, but did drive, as my wagon would not have made it down the 80+ stairs (they're worth it!). Heads up that the shower is very small, which could be an issue for a taller individual, though it was perfectly fine for me. Would absolutely return and hope to-for another solo getaway or with partner.

Small studio cottage that served the two of us well. We spent most of our time in Saugatuck, Fennville, and Douglas, wandering around. Great restaurants! Bowdies Chop House for a (too) BIG steak dinner, and Salt of the Earth (Farm to Table) in Fennville. Excellent cuisine. Frankly, didn't spend a lot of time in this Lakeside Cottage, but it really served our purposes well. It was cool at night which made for great sleeping.

We had a relaxing stay at this studio type cottage. Easy access to Lake Michigan across the street and through the park. We especially enjoyed the spacious screened porch for reading. Perfect for a long weekend or week, limited only by the small kitchen and small shower/bath. Short drive to Douglas/Saugatuk restaurants and Grand Rapids attractions.

The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—close to all the local attractions but close to the lake.

This little cottage was the perfect getaway for one person, and it is indeed across the street from Lake Michigan. I spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch which was so relaxing and convenient. As other people have said, the parking is tight and I did scratch the paint on my car from the branches - some pruning would solve that. Everything was well thought out with items you need but not overdone. I was glad there was no stove so I went exploring a lot to find places to eat or pick up snacks. Altogether: two thumbs up!

My 8yo daughter and I had a lovely vacation here this summer. We loved that we could easily walk across the street to a park and beautiful beach. We had everything that we needed for our stay and enjoyed the peaceful and quiet surroundings.

We had a wonderful time! The screened-in porch was perfect for the mornings. The place is walking distance from a great park with beach access. We were looking for a beach getaway, and this was perfect. We had a little trouble figuring out if we were in the right place because we got there in the dark (the description was right on, we just got there late and couldn't see super well), and the owner was kind enough to point us in the right direction and welcome us even thought it was late. So grateful for their kindness! The place was clean and comfortable, and the area was beautiful - we didn't want to leave. :)

This turned out to be a fantastic location for us--visits to Saugatuck Dunes state park, to Holland, and a nice neighborhood for a morning run. The cottage was charming and we loved the screen porch for evening relaxing time.

The cottage was in a quiet neighborhood and close to the county park. I enjoyed being able to walk to the park and go down to the beach. I appreciated the TV and WIFI because it rained a couple of the days that I was there.

My husband and I needed a getaway from reality and this place was perfect. We were able to shop, enjoy some great food and relax on the beach. (all minutes away) Westside County Park is awesome and I even found some sea glass. Loved our stay and would definitely stay again!

Super adorable cottage studio type home. Perfect for a little getaway, and walking distance to Lake Michigan! The driveway is lined with foliage so if you have an option to take a smaller car, do so!

Only a short distance to county park with Lake Michigan's beautiful sugar sand beach. A cute small cottage, nice and clean. Good size for 2 people. The owner was friendly and showed us inside. There is no stove, but has a grill and microwave. We enjoyed it.

This place was great - a cozy little spot with a great location. Walkable to the beach and a nice little park, and driving distance to all sorts of western Michigan fun (hiking trails, breweries, bicycle rentals, not beaches, restaurants, you name it).
